Logan Boulet graduated from Winston
Churchill in 2015. Logan left an indelible mark
on the world through his inspiring legacy
known as the "Logan Boulet Effect." Born on
March 2, 1997, Logan was a compassionate
and hard-working human. He was funny, kind,
and driven.
During his time at Churchill, Logan displayed
exceptional leadership skills, participating in
various extracurricular activities and earning
the respect of his peers and teachers alike. He
was a dedicated member of the school's
Rugby team, demonstrating both skill on the
field and a strong work ethic. Logan also
represented Churchill in Badminton and Track
and Field.
Logan was playing Hockey for the Humboldt
Broncos when their bus tragically crashed on
April 6, 2018. The following day, on April 7
Logan passed away due to the injuries he
sustained in the accident. Logan’s decision to
become an organ donor, inspired by Ric
Suggit, one of Logan’s trainers, sparked a
nation-wide movement known as the "Logan
Boulet Effect." His selfless act inspired
thousands of people across Canada to
register as organ donors, leading to a
significant increase in organ donation rates—
a testament to Logan's enduring legacy of
generosity and compassion.
Today, Logan Boulet is remembered
not only as a talented athlete and
dedicated student but also as a
beacon of hope and inspiration for
countless individuals whose lives have
been touched by his remarkable story.
His legacy continues to inspire acts of
kindness and altruism, serving as a
powerful reminder of the profound
impact one person can have on the
world.
