April 9 – April 15
Notification about registration on website and the automated phone system to notify parents of the registration process.
Counselling department will meet with all classes to describe the registration process.
Parents will be asked to have conversations with their child about possible course selection. Course offering sheets will be available on the website, emailed to parents, and if requested paper through the advisor to assist.
Parents-advisees will use PowerSchool to complete course requests online.
April 16 -19
I2T will be suspended. Advisors will use this time to schedule individual meetings with advisees to review courses directly on PowerSchool. Advisors need to ensure that all students have courses that are appropriate.
The course selection sheet will be printed by the office staff and given to advisors along with the rest of the registration package. Advisors can review the course selections to ensure they are correct. The registration package, along with their selection sheet, will then go home for parents to review and sign.
Advisors need to ensure that all students have been given the registration package
All registration forms are due back and are to be collected by advisors. Advisors will ensure that everything is complete. Advisors can refer to the checklist and will return the advisor roster to the office double checking that all forms are properly completed.
April 30 – May 4
Advisors, admin and counselling will track down students who have been phoned by advisors and have still not registered.
May 8 – June 7
New timetables given to advisors to distribute to advisees.
